“El puerto se lleva en la sangre”
Para los trabajadores, el puerto, la organización laboral y sindical, el vínculo que han establecido con el entorno portuario y con otros actores sociales a lo largo del tiempo, transforman su oficio en un estilo de vida.
“The port is carried in the blood”
This phrase said by a retired port worker, reflects that for the workers, the port, the labor and union organization, the link they have established with the port environment and with other social actors over time, transform their trade into a lifestyle.
El Mural
El mural “Vida Portuaria” describe las actividades que se desarrollan actualmente en el muelle Almirante Storni y retrata el esfuerzo cotidiano de los trabajadores portuarios.
The Mural
It describes the activities currently taking place on our dock, such as the discharge of wind generators, the aluminum activity, commercial fishing and the arrival of cruise ships to the city, but mainly portrays the daily effort of port workers.

El mural nos cuenta
Las Actividades Portuarias
En el mural se retrataron algunas de las tareas cotidianas y habituales en el puerto como la descarga de generadores eólicos, la actividad del aluminio, la pesca comercial y la llegada de cruceros turísticos a la ciudad.

El Trabajador
La identidad del empleado portuario se fue conformando no solo por el trabajo que realiza sino por sus formas de organización laboral en sindicatos y por las luchas que protagonizó a lo largo de la historia como colectivo y que le permitieron conquistar diferentes derechos.

Port employees, their kinds of labor organization in unions and different sociavl struggles.
La Familia
El mural apuesta a ponderar el trabajo portuario, las extensas jornadas laborales que caracterizan a la estiba y la importancia de la familia como eslabón estructural y de contención de la vida portuaria.
Family
The intervention carried out highlights the port work, the long working days that characterize the stowage and the importance of the family as a structural link and support for port life.
Historia de muelles
El crecimiento y el desarrollo de la ciudad de Puerto Madryn y de la región, se relacionan íntimamente a la instalación y a la actividad de los puertos.
The growth and development of the city of Puerto Madryn and the region are intimately related to the installation and activity of the ports.

Durante el Siglo XX
La ciudad de Puerto Madryn protagonizó un marcado crecimiento demográfico.
A través de la instalación de industrias y el del área de servicios tuvo lugar la conformación de una clase trabajadora muy vinculada a los sectores de la construcción, textil, pesquero, metalúrgico y turístico, entre otros.
During the 20th Century
The city of Puerto Madryn starred a marked population growth.
Through the installation of industries and the service area, the emergence of a working class closely linked to the construction, textile, fishing, metallurgical and tourism sectors, among others, took place.

A través del turismo científico y el arte, compartimos y ponemos en valor, en una pared y para siempre, la historia del Puerto, del trabajo y de los obreros qué en última instancia, no es ni más ni menos que una parte de la historia de toda una ciudad y de su gente.
Through scientific tourism and art, we share and value, on a wall and forever, the history of the Port, of port work and of its workers, which ultimately is neither more nor less than a part of the history of an entire city and its people.
